Odfjell Drilling nets new contract for Deepsea Yantai semisubmersible

Odfjell Drilling has agreed a contract with PGNiG Upstream Norway for the use of the Deepsea Yantai semisubmersible.The contract includes the drilling of one firm well, “Tomcat”, in PL 1055 in the Norwegian Sea, with the option to drill two further wells in 2024. The firm scope of work is estimated to take 55 days and will commence in Q2/Q3 2024.As a result of the signing of this contract, the firm backlog for the Deepsea Yantai is expected to now extend into Q3 2024.(2023-01-05)

Valaris awarded contract from BP for DS-12 drillship offshore Egypt

Valaris’s drillship VALARIS DS-12 has been awarded a four-well contract with BP offshore Egypt. The contract is expected to commence in late Q3 or early Q4 2023 and has an estimated duration of 320 days. Maersk Drilling has secured a contract from Shell for its Maersk Developer semisubmersible in the Campos basin offshore Brazil, where the rig will drill one exploration well and perform subsea well interventions at the BC-10 field. ADNOC Drilling awarded contracts for Hail and Ghasha gas development project

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced the award of two contracts totaling $2 billion to ADNOC Drilling for the Hail and Ghasha development project. The contracts comprise $1.3 billion for integrated drilling services and fluids, and $711 million for the provision of four Island Drilling Units.
