Valeura updates on 10 wells drilled in Q3 2025
Valeura drilled a total of 10 wells in Q3 2025 covering all three of its wellhead infrastructure facilities on the Nong Yao field. The campaign was primarily production-oriented and increased from the first new wells coming onstream.Valeura drilled three horizontal development wells from its Nong Yao A wellhead and production facility. All were successful and are onstream as oil producers. The wells were geosteered on a real-time basis to maximize exposure to the oil-bearing interval of the reservoir, threading narrowly between other reservoir fluids.In addition, Valeura drilled four horizontal development wells and one appraisal well from its Nong Yao B
Hunting signs OCTG contract for offshore Guyana
Hunting executed a $20 million contract to deliver oil country tubular goods (OCTG) accessories to support deepwater drilling operations offshore Guyana. The contract supports a leading operator in the Stabroek Block. Eni restarts exploratory drilling with Saipem offshore Libya
Eni resumed its exploration activities in the offshore area northwest of Libya, specifically in Block 16/4, after a hiatus of more than five years. This comeback includes re-entering the exploratory well C1-16/4 (also known as BESS-3), where drilling operations were previously halted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The Ensco rig 4005 started drilling the C1-16/4 well on 11 March 2020, reaching a depth of 1,012 ft. Eni exercises second optional well on Ventura’s SSV Catarina
Eni exercised the second of four optional wells in Indonesia for the semisubmersible drilling rig, SSV Catarina, with Ventura Offshore.The exercise of this second optional well is expected to keep the rig utilized into Q1 2026 and further increases the firm backlog by approximately $10 million. Transocean ultra-deepwater drillship options exercised for $243 Million
Transocean announced contract fixtures for two of its ultra-deepwater drillships. In aggregate, the fixtures represent approximately $243 million in firm contract backlog.In the US Gulf of Mexico, BP exercised a 365-day option for the Deepwater Atlas in direct continuation of its firm contract. The program is expected to contribute approximately $232 million in backlog.In Brazil, Petrobras exercised a 30-day option for the Deepwater Mykonos in direct continuation of its firm program. Eni acquires new exploration block offshore Côte d’Ivoire
Eni and the Ivorian Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy signed an exploration contract for the CI-707 offshore block in Abidjan. The license covers an area of approximately 2,926 sq km in the Ivorian sedimentary basin, at a water depth of between 1,000 and 3,000 m. The planned exploration period has a maximum duration of nine years.The area covered by the new license is geologically continuous with the nearby CI-205 block, where Eni announced the discovery of Calao in March 2024. Nigeria greenlights TotalEnergies deal with Shell, Agip
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) signed off on a sales purchase agreement (SPA) by TotalEnergies to assign its entire 12.5% contractor interest in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 118 to Shell and Agip. According to the details of the agreement, TotalEnergies will transfer 10% of its interest to Shell, while Agip will receive the remaining 2.5%.The Commission noted that Shell and Agip will bear the decommissioning and abandonment liabilities owed by TotalEnergies to Nigeria with respect to the divested interest.
