ADES wins jackup drilling contract in Nigeria

ADES Holding announced that its offshore jackup rig “Admarine 504” has been awarded a drilling contract in Nigeria with Brittania-U, an indigenous integrated energy company that operates across the oil and gas value chain in Nigeria. This marks the company’s first entry into West Africa.ADES will provide the rig along with its senior crew and relevant management systems to Valiant Offshore against a charter fee. In return, Valiant will fulfill its drilling obligations under its contract with Brittania-U.The value of the charter contract between ADES and Valiant is estimated at $21.8 million, which represents a percentage from the drilling contract

Noble rigs win two gigs: Australia and Suriname

The end of 2024 brought news of two gigs for Noble Corp rigs. First, the semisubmersible Ocean Apex has been contracted for a further period offshore Australia. This contract, which is for a minimum 37 days, will be in direct continuation of the Apex’s prior commitments in Australia, estimated to occur between Q2-Q3 of 2025.Next up, Noble and Petronas Suriname agreed for the high-specification semisubmersible rig Noble Developer to drill three wells offshore Suriname.The contract is expected to start around June 2025, with an estimated duration of 200 days. New Saipem offshore contract in Nigeria worth $900 million

Saipem was awarded a new offshore contract by Shell Nigeria for the Bonga North Project and the development of a deepwater oil field 130 km off the coast of Nigeria. Saipem’s share of the overall value of the contract is approximately $900 million.The project is related to the tieback of wells to the existing FPSO. Saipem’s scope of work encompasses the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of risers, flowlines, subsea umbilicals and associated subsea structures.Design and fabrication activities will be carried out locally involving Nigerian suppliers and subcontractors.This major contract contributes to the overall fleet booking until 2027.(2024-12-23)

Ventura Offshore awarded contract for DS Carolina

Ventura Offshore Holding Ltd. was awarded a new contract with PetrPetrobras for the deployment of the ultra-deepwater (UDW) drillship DS Carolina to the Sepia and Atapu fields located in the Santos basin, offshore Brazil.The contract totalizes approximately $363 million for the 910-day firm contract term and includes $26 million for mobilization payments and an extension option by Petrobras for additional 305 days. Shell Offshore announced a Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Phase 3 Silvertip project, which will deliver two wells to boost production at the Shell-operated Perdido spar in the US Gulf of Mexico.The development concept for Phase 3 Silvertip includes two wells tied into existing subsea infrastructure. Eni acquires 4 new blocks offshore Côte d’Ivoire

Eni and the Ministry of Mines, Oil and Energy of Côte d’Ivoire signed contracts for the acquisition of four new exploration blocks in the country’s offshore.
